The character of Rudolph was first created by Robert Lewis May, a young calf that had barely any antlers and a red glowing nose that would lead Santa through the winter weather. If you’re lucky to have been bought a private number plate, or you’ve purchased one for someone else, here are some top tips from the DVLA:
You must complete the V750 certificate of entitlement in section 1 of the form and as the purchaser you must ensure to sign the bottom of section 1 to go through to the next stage. You may also need a V778 retention document and an online reference number.
You must be able to prove your car is registered with the DVLA in the UK and is available for inspection. You must provide a valid MOT certificate if the car is not newly purchased.
Send your application off to the DVLA and expect to hear back within 2 weeks, with the following documents: replacement V5C, which contains the new registration number and an MOT if applicable, as well as a receipt.
Once either one of the two documents arrives, you are now ready to put your new private plate on your car.
