Purchasing of registrations

We sell registration marks owned by clients, government stock & our own stock.

Final prices for registrations purchased on this website will (if applicable) include VAT charged at the current 20% rate and relevant DVLA transfer fees. Payment must be made in full in order to secure a registration from being sold to another party. Prices may be subject to change without notice.

Purchaser Responsibilities

It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that any registration mark supplied on a certificate is transferred to a vehicle by the expiry date of the certificate. There are some registration numbers that we are unable to supply on certificates. In these circumstances, the purchaser will be required to supply additional documents to allow a numbers to be transferred to a vehicle.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that all information they enter online at the time of purchase is correct, this includes but is not limited to personal details, address, nominee name and billing details. If an incorrect nominee name is entered after a purchase has been completed Click4reg Ltd will charge a £50 fee to update the nominee name.

Any payment taken for a registration mark is non-refundable. The only exception to this will be in the unlikely event that a registration number is sold by Click4reg Ltd and it is no longer available for purchase from either The private seller or DVLA, Click4reg Ltd will then try and find a suitable replacement registration mark or refund the customer in full.

Your rights under the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 cease to apply upon accepting a contract to purchase the entitlement to display a registration mark from Click4reg Ltd. The provisions in the Consumer Contract Regulations regarding cancellation and return do not apply to a personalised product such as a vehicle registration or a number plate. Such personalised products and services are exempt. Our service begins immediately and cannot be cancelled. If the balance payment is not received or a chargeback is made by the card issuing authority or bank, a debt recovery company will be employed to recover any payments outstanding.

You can purchase a registration number that is newer than your vehicle, but you cannot display a number plate on a vehicle in order to make that vehicle look newer. Click4reg Ltd will clearly display this fact below all registrations prior to purchase along with the date of the registration. It is the purchaser's responsibility to choose a suitable plate for a specific vehicle.

Our Responsibilities

Once a sale is complete, Click4reg Ltd shall be responsible for administering the documentation required for the registration purchase and will endeavour to provide this to the customer as soon as possible. However Click4reg Ltd cannot be held responsible for undue delay via post. In the event that DVLA revokes rights to a specific registration number Click4reg Ltd will not be liable for any loss, damages or other expenses whatsoever.

Click4reg Ltd will endeavour to ensure that its website and registrations on offer are up to date; any sold registrations will be removed as soon as possible from our database.

Once a transfer has been authorised by the Department for Transport (DVLA), Click4reg Ltd disavows, and is free from, all liabilities regarding registration mark in question.

Additional Services

Reserve

We offer a reserve facility on all of our registration marks. We allow potential purchasers to reserve a plate for a fee of £30.00. This will reserve the registration mark exclusively on click4reg.co.uk for a period of 28 days. Although this will stop anyone from purchasing the registration mark in question directly from click4reg.co.uk, we cannot accept any responsibility for registrations that may be unavailable due to the seller withdrawing them from sale or if the mark is sold by another party at any point prior to the end of the reserved period.

If the reserved plate is purchased by the same customer during or after the reserve period the reserve fee will be reducted from the total sale price. Please note we do not offer refunds on reserve fees if the plate is not purchased during or after the reserve period.

Purchases via Finance

We also allow the purchase of plates over a period of 12, 24 or 36 months via Finance Agreement. At the time of purchase the buyer will be required to complete a finance agreement with one of our finance partners (Specialist Lending Ltd / Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance). This agreement will be subject to a credit check and may be reffered or refused at the discreation of our finance provider(s). If agreed Click4reg Ltd will carry out the sale once we have received confirmation that the finance agreement has been successful. Once a sale is completed is it the purchasers responsibility to keep up the regular payments to our finance providers under the terms of the agreement.

When a purchaser applies for a finance agreement a minimum of 10% deposit will need to be paid by credit or debit card. If the finance application is approved by our finance provider(s) this fee will be deducted from the total finance amount. Once a finance agreement is approved and signed with one of our finance providers we will aim to provide the said registration mark either on 'Retention Certificate' or 'Transferred Directly To Vehicle' within a 2-4 week period.

Pricing & Confirmation of Sale

Click4reg Ltd makes every effort to ensure that advertised prices are correct, we acknowledge that occasional errors could occur due to third party sellers having direct access to update/amend pricing at their own discretion. If a customer purchases a registration mark that is found to be either incorrectly priced, unavailable or wrongly displayed, Click4reg Ltd's liability will be limited to a full refund of any monies paid.

Click4reg Ltd does not take any responsibility for mistakes and/or errors in pricing published, we are a private plate broker, we do not own any rights to the plates listed for sale by third parties. These terms are clearly stated during the buying process, of which you must agree in order to complete a purchase. In the event that a customer wishes to purchase a registration at the published price, this will be on the condition that the third party seller confirms a final sale price and the registration's availablity status. No sale will be agreed in full until we have confirmed a final price with the third party seller/owner of the registration. If the third party seller does not agree to the sale Click4reg Ltd's liability will be limited to a full refund of any monies paid.

We reserve the right to alter or cancel any advertised discount at any time, including prior to the advertised expiry or end date, without notice.

All payments are processed securely via SagePay Europe, we do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Selling of registrations

Click4reg Ltd will act as a broker for the registration mark in question and will attempt to find buyers for the registration mark. The seller must agree to these terms and conditions prior to us adding a registration for sale on our website.

By submitting a registration mark the Seller agrees that the said registration mark will be published for sale on click4reg.co.uk. This does not effect the sellers rights to the plate and is not a guarantee to sell. A sale will only be agreed if the seller confirms that they wish to accept a purchase and/or offer made for the registration mark once a buyer is found.

The Seller agrees that by listing a private registration on our website and agreeing to these terms & conditions that they are giving permission for Click4reg Ltd to contact them using the personal information supplied in relation to enquiries or sale of said registration mark, this information may include but is not limited to (phone number, email address and postal address).

The value payable to the seller of the registration will be the price already agreed with Click4reg Ltd in a quotation previously issued or any lower offer agreed with the Seller prior to sale, via telephone, letter, fax or e-mail.

Sellers Responsibilities

The Seller must notify Click4reg Ltd in writing, if he/she otherwise ceases to be the owner of the mark, or wishes to withdraw it from sale. The Seller must also notify us in writing if the vehicle carrying the registration mark is sold, stolen or destroyed. If the Seller fails to notify Click4reg Ltd that a registration is no longer for sale and a Buyer is found, the Seller shall be liable to produce the documents for the registration mark in question, or pay any costs incurred by Click4reg Ltd secure the sale.

Once a registration is sold the Seller must return all valid paperwork, including Current V5 and MOT Certificate, where applicable, as requested within a maximum of 14 days of notification of a sale. If a sale falls through due to the failure to provide valid paperwork to us, then the seller will be responsible for any costs incurred by Click4reg Ltd to secure the sale.

Once a new V5 bearing the new registration number is received by the Buyer this shall be conclusive proof that a successful transfer has taken place for both Buyer and Seller.

In the event that a registration mark is unable to transferred from a donor vehicle, due to vehicle age or status the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) may at this time request a vehicle inspection and/or voluntary MOT. At this time it will be the Seller's responsibility to present the donor vehicle (the one that carries the mark being sold) to the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), at their own expense.

The Seller will be responsible for affixing the replacement registration mark to the donor vehicle once a registration transfer has been confirmed by the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

Seller Refunds

When a plate is submitted for valuation or sale we ask for a £10 refundable deposit to guarantee that you "The Seller" are the legal owner of the plate.

Once you receive a valuation your plate will then be published for sale on our website click4reg.co.uk. You will then be given to option to remove your plate via email. If within 24 hours you are unhappy with your valuation & do not wish to sell your plate via click4reg.co.uk you can remove your plate from sale, we will then issue a full refund. If however you fail to do so within 24 hours we will continue to advertise the plate for sale and will hold the deposit until the plate is sold or removed from sale.

Once an offer or sale is agreed on an advertised plate we will issue a full refund of the £10 listing fee to "The Seller".

Limited Liability

Click4reg Ltd cannot take any responsibility for loss or damages incurred due to registration marks listed on our website by third parties. When submitting to our website individuals agree to these terms and conditions, and agree to inform us of any change in circumstances regarding ownership of the registration mark in question. We take ownership information in good faith and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information we receive from third parties.

If in the event that a valid owner of a registration mark wishes to dispute a listing we require proof of ownership in the form of a photo or scan of the Registration Certificate/Logbook (V5C) clearly showing the owners name, once received we will update our records or remove the listing in question.

Personal Information

Click4reg Ltd will never sell personal data

Information entered on our website is stored in a secure database for the purposes of either buying or selling a registration number. Click4reg Ltd may use information such as Name, Tel and Email in order to contact you regarding our services or to discuss specific registrations that you may be interested in, but will never disclose personal information to third parties unless required to do so by law.

Click4reg Ltd is happy to remove any stored personal information at any time when requested in writing.

Use of the Click4reg.co.uk website signifies consent that we may set cookies on your computer, these cookies will only ever store non-identifiable information such as session and browser information. If you do not wish to consent you may cease using this website, or if you wish you can withdraw your permission by changing the settings in your web browser to refuse cookies.

Delivery of Documents

All documentation will be sent by Royal Mail delivery, please allow 5-7 working days for delivery of purchase or sale documents once a sale is agreed. For premium sales please allow up to 14 working days for transfer confirmation from DVLA once all documents have been supplied, Click4reg Ltd cannot be held responsible for undue delay via post.
